One year ago yesterday, I started blogging about our upcoming adoption from China. Little did we know at the time that it would be two. Boys. I call them Irish Twins. 🙂
One year ago today, one of my good friends lost her twin daughter. She was 7. God’s merciful hand prevented her from losing both girls. Would you please pray for my friend and her family? She has an older son and a daughter who will be 9 this month.
Life is so precious. So short. A vapor. Why do I waste time with things that do not make a Kingdom difference? Why?
We were reading last night at small group about Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. We backed up a little and started reading the beginning of John 12. This is the section where Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with ointment. The ointment cost about a year’s wages. There was one little part that struck me new in this reading. Verse 2 said “Martha served”. This is the same Martha who, in Luke 10, told Jesus to make Mary help her, and He told her that Mary chose the “good portion” by sitting at His feet and listening to His teaching.
Which would I rather have on my tombstone?
